EEA Member Spotlight with Alan Vey, CEO of Aventus Technologies

As an EEA member, Aventus Technologies is part of the EEA community of organizations working to advance Ethereum and drive industry adoption. In the Q&A below, the EEA interviewed CEO Alan Vey about how Aventus is helping the ecosystem achieve the potential impact of Ethereum.

Please introduce your company and yourself briefly.

I’m Alan Vey, CEO of Aventus Network, a customizable Layer 2 blockchain network that enables any business or DApp built on Ethereum at scale to process transactions at 133 times the speed and at just 1% of the cost.

We believe that Ethereum is one of the greatest technological innovations of the 21st century. As a Layer 2 solution, we are working to help advance blockchain interoperability and believe that working with the EEA will help in our quest.

What are you currently working on with regards to Ethereum? How will end-users benefit from your work?

We are working on building partnerships through genuine use cases for Enterprise businesses and DApps to build on top of Ethereum and process transactions at scale.

One example is the recent launch of TixTo.Me, a ticketing app that delivers fraud-proof tickets. This app was developed in collaboration with Live Nation France & FanDragon, as well as with loyalty programs through the CashbackAPP in eight territories worldwide. CashbackAPP companies no longer collect fiat from merchants; instead, merchants immediately credit users with ‘cashback’ tokens, meaning they can collect their commissions from merchants on a less sensitive timeline. Since no fiat currency is owed to users in the new system, the liability on their balance sheet is also eliminated, along with any processes associated with collateral.

There are also similar use cases live in provenance, gaming, NFTs and more.

What first brought you to the EEA, and why did you decide to become a member?

We believe that Ethereum makes the world better and, in joining the EEA, we form part of a network that can accelerate and expand that impact at an enterprise level, where the technology demands are perhaps greatest.

The chance to interact with others with similar goals and similar challenges creates a cross-pollination of ideas and solutions that can benefit us all through meaningful collaboration.

How will the EEA enhance your organization’s current efforts?

We hope to connect with others where synergistic partnerships can be found.  We also hope to contribute knowledge, ideas, experience and, eventually, open source code to the community.

EEA makes it easy for us to tap into a preexisting network of projects and people just like us.

What EEA programs are you most excited about?

We are excited by both the member-driven and community-driven EEA programs.

In terms of member-driven programs, we want to actively participate in the exchange of information and the sharing of use cases to mutually benefit from the development of expertise in pushing Ethereum adoption forward.

And in terms of the EEA Community Projects, we too believe in open source development and look forward to participating.
